Lisa R. Considine has extensive practice in both state and Federal court in New Jersey. She devotes her practice to representing consumers in individual and class actions in cases involving violations of State and Federal consumer protection laws. She practices primarily in the area of consumer protection, focusing on cases involving fraudulent sales practices, deceptive advertising, mortgage servicing malfeasance, predatory lending, financial fraud, data breach and privacy actions, credit reporting violations, and home improvement contracts.
Prior to joining The Wolf Law Firm LLC in October 2018, Ms. Considine was a founding member of DiSabato & Bouckenooghe LLC, a Morris County-based law firm specializing in consumer protection. With almost 15 years of experience in New Jersey, her knowledge of consumer rights litigation is diverse. She has been appointed as lead class counsel on cases involving New Jersey and Federal consumer protection laws, including violations of the NJ Consumer Fraud Act and the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act. Previous to this, Ms. Considine specialized in complex first and third-party CGL coverage claims and complex commercial litigation with extensive experience defending coverage actions involving physical damage to commercial and industrial properties.
She has appeared on various news outlets to offer commentary on fraudulent business practices. Notably, she has appeared on News 12 New Jersey to discuss fraudulent billing practices in the wireless industry and on ABC Action News in connection with a class action involving the car rental industry. Ms. Considine has also taught continuing legal education programs on the NJ Consumer Fraud Act, the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act, and class action procedure in State and Federal practices.
Ms. Considine has also devoted significant time throughout her career to pro bono services. She serves a four-year term at the pleasure of the New Jersey Supreme Court on the District XB Ethics Committee, and mediates cases as a volunteer in the Morris County Special Civil Part. Lisa is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the American Association for Justice, and the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a member of the executive committee of the Worrall F. Mountain Inn of Court, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Consumers League of New Jersey.Ms. Considine is a 2004 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law and a 2000 graduate of Rutgers College.
