CREDIT BUREAU INQUIRIES
Galex Wolf, LLC is currently investigating consumer complaints about car dealerships charging “Credit Bureau Inquiry Fees.”
Most car dealerships run a “credit check” (also called a “credit bureau inquiry” or “credit inquiry”) before approving a car loan. Some dealerships that charge for the credit checks violate consumer protection laws that may entitle you to money damages from the dealership. You can tell if you were charged for a credit inquiry if ANY of your paperwork lists a fee such as “Credit Bureau Inquiry,” “Credit Inquiry,” or “Credit Check.”
