Matthew S. Oorbeek represents clients on an individual basis in cases involving both federal and state consumer protection laws and regulations. He focuses his practice on assisting consumers in matters related to consumer and warranty fraud, home improvement/contractor fraud, wrongful repossessions, new and used car Lemon Law, and abusive debt collection practices.
Mr. Oorbeek was admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of New Jersey. He received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall School of Law in 2013. He is a member of the Middlesex Bar Association.
While at Seton Hall, Mr. Oorbeek was a member of a number of student organizations, including, most notably, serving on the Executive Board of the Tax Law Society. Mr. Oorbeek received his Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in 2010, with a double major in Political Science and Economics. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Alpha and Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Societies.
Prior to joining The Wolf Law Firm, Mr. Oorbeek was honored to serve as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Travis L. Francis, A.S.J.C. in Middlesex County, New Jersey. As a law clerk to the Assignment Judge, Mr. Oorbeek gained invaluable experience in the operations of the Superior Court, in addition to reviewing motions, assisting in case management conferences, handling Orders to Show Cause, and mediating Special Civil Part cases.
